Bureau of Program Integrity (BPI) - BPI is a state agency responsible for preventing, detecting, deterring and correcting fraud, abuse and wasteful practices by providers of medical assistance services, including managed care organizations. Contact number: 1-866-DPW-TIPS (1-866-379-8477)
Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) - MFCU is a section of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General whose purpose is to investigateand prosecute fraud committed by providers enrolled in the Medicaid program, as well as to investigate patient abuse and neglect in Medicaid funded health care facilities pursuant to the Medicare-Medicaid Anti-Fraudand Abuse Amendment of 1977.
