To serve the needs of our client companies, Magellan provides managed behavioral health care treatment services for a number of different claim payors and accounts. As a result, the procedures for filing a claim including timeliness, may vary depending upon the payor, the state, and the particular account involved.

However, following some basic guidelines will help you in making sure your claim is processed in a timely manner.

Our in-network providers can take advantage of our Web-based direct data entry electronic claims submission tool.

High volume providers that find direct data entry too cumbersome are invited to contact one of our contracted clearinghouses to inquire about submitting electronic claims to Magellan.
