Magellan knows that parents of children with autism face many challenges. But you are not alone. Now you can connect with other parents who have children with autism. This can help you build a network of support.
The following site includes a list of providers and services. The list is based on suggestions from parents and caregivers like you. You can search the list to find the kinds of services you are looking for to help you and your child: www.LoveMyProvider.com
The following site is a social network and support group. It is made just for individuals who care for children with autism: www.MyAutismTeam.com
Magellan Healthcare, Inc. is sharing these social networks as an informational resource for our members. Sharing these resources does not mean that we approve of the content, provider referrals or posts. It also does not mean that we will authorize the services listed on the sites.

Act 62 Message for Pennsylvania Families (Autism Services) Notice
In Pennsylvania, your child’s autism-related services may be covered by private health insurance, Medical Assistance (MA) or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) under Pennsylvania’s Autism Insurance Act (ACT 62). ACT 62 is a statewide insurance mandate specific to services provided to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The Department of Human Services (DHS), Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID), and Department of State (DOS) are working together to fully implement Act 62. A number of new resources have been developed to provide guidance to families about ACT 62. Visit www.PAAutismInsurance.org for Act 62 information including fact sheets, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, updated guidance on how to appeal if your insurance company denies a claim, and contact information for DHS and the PID.
Please review the letter from DHS and PID as well as an infographic with guidance for families for more information.
